Two soldiers have found love in an unlikely place – in the middle of Afghanistan.
Stefanie and Adam Bliss have just married after meeting on the frontline, when RAF policewoman Stefanie was sent to work in Kabul, where she met Household Cavalry interpreter Adam.
The 24-year-old policewoman then volunteered to be sent back to the warzone to spend more time with her new-found beau.
Adam told the Mirror: "Dating was basically just grabbing a coffee between flights and maybe at the end of the day. Neither of us could be away from our duties for long and there’s certainly no privacy on base."
The two got married three months ago, but now Stefanie is returning to the country, meaning the duo will have to spend their first time apart in months.
Adam admitted that it will be hard, but said that people in the armed forces who have families are naturally more cautious.
Another soldier who is seeing love from her work in the armed forces is Lance Corporal Katrina Hodge, who recently represented as Miss England in the Miss World contest – leading to her getting hundreds of letters from fans who have fallen for the 22-year-old.
