Social networkers - 7% 'would check messages during sex'

Social networkers - 7% 'would check messages during sex'

Single soldiers who have singed up to online dating websites perhaps know just how addictive the internet can be.

Checking to see whether that person you've been flirting with for weeks has replied to your message is probably one of the first things that many internet daters do when they log on.

But a new study by consumer electronics site Retrevo of 1,000 members of social networking sites has revealed that seven per cent are so fanatical that given the chance, they would check their messages during sex.

A further 30 per cent said they check their online accounts if they wake up in the middle of the night, while 53 per cent admitted to logging on as soon as they get up in the morning.

Meanwhile, in a recent study undertaken by healthcare group Bayer, it was revealed that four in ten women will sleep with a new partner by the third date, with 11 per cent succumbing to a man's powers of seduction on the first meeting.
