Two pub owners will fundraise for a second year for a soldier who died in Afghanistan.
Last year, the duo pledged to raise cash for Help the Heroes after hearing that local boy 22-year-old Sapper Jordan Rossi, 22, had died while on patrol in Helmand Province.
Mick and Jackie Bray, who run The Malt Shovel and The Angel in Baildon, told the Telegraph and Argus that they hope to better last year’s total of £42,000.
Mr Bray added: "The loss of one of our own in Jordan brought home to a lot of people in Baildon the dangers that our brave young men and women are facing and the effect that such a tragedy can have on their families."
A number of events will be run through the year, kicking off with the Malt Shovel’s Valentines Evening, which will feature an auction, raffles, tombola and singer.
Speaking after his death, Mr Rossi’s family said that he would always be loved and that his memory would live on forever.
