Online daters 'should behave well' when meeting up

Single soldiers who have found a prospective partner through online dating might want to bear in mind some tips when meeting up with the girl.

Writing for The Frisky, Beth Ames noted guys should know how to behave when trying to impress a woman on the all-important first date.

The relationship expert noted starting the evening with a negative comment is a big faux-pas, as this can create a bad first impression and even cause the lady to think her dater might prefer to be somewhere else.

While women may like a man who spends lots of time with his pet, Ms Ames claimed talking to much about a cat or dog at home can put a girl off, as she would like to be the centre of attention on this first encounter.

Rhodri Marsden, writing in the Independent, recently noted internet dating has become an increasingly popular way for singles looking for a casual fling to hook up.
