Men 'struggle with text messages' when dating

Men struggle to communicate with women through text messages, a new survey has found.

Carried out by TSB Magazine, it discovered 32 per cent of males fail to find the right words when texting a potential partner.

As well as being concerned about the content, getting the timing of the message correct is another worry they have.

Some 22 per cent of men said they hate nothing more than an awkward conversation on a date, while 12 per cent pointed to the initial approach of a woman as the hardest part of meeting someone.

The survey highlights some of the main challenges affecting single people who are looking to find Mr or Mrs Right in the 21st century.

While there are no hard and fast rules about how to be successful with online dating, individuals should look to write a snappy profile and upload at least two photos, a headshot and a full-body pose, to their account.
