Men feel they have 'nothing to lose' when online dating

Men join online dating websites because they think they have not got anything to lose.

This is according to a poll published in the Telegraph, which also found 17 per cent of males view a profile that does not have a picture as a turn-off.

As a rule, people should put at least two snaps up, a full body pose and a head shot.

In the last six months, fellas have exchanged an average of 15 messages with would-be suitors as they seek to find Mrs Right.

When guys were asked what they look for in a girl, the most popular answer was a sense of humour, which highlights how many lads are concerned with more than just beauty.

Nearly one-third (29 per cent) of men are seeking a partner who is two to four years their junior, while 65 per cent favour their first date to take place during the daytime.
