Letter writing 'good for showing emotion'

People can sometimes struggle to express their feelings for their girlfriends and boyfriends.

Showing emotion can be difficult, but writing it down in words may be a better option.

This is what Joey Essex - one of the stars of the reality TV show The Only Way Is Essex - has done to show his love for cast mate Sam Faiers.

According to the Daily Mail, Essex penned the touching tribute "I love you and you're the love of my life" after his partner challenged him to make his feelings known.

He also reminded Faiers of the memories they have made since they got together - both positive and negative - and she was delighted with the contents of the letter.

This highlights how successful this method can be and so some people may want to seek out pen pals in order to get closer to a member of the opposite sex.
