Internet dating 'could become the norm'

Internet dating is now a perfectly acceptable medium for meeting a partner.

This is according to dating expert Karen Barr, who noted the internet is an important part of everyone's life and so portals no longer carry the same stigma they used to.

"Ten years ago, if you told someone that you met your partner online, you would often be the recipient of a shocked look or some rather prurient questions," she added.

Not only is hooking up through the web safe, it is also an extremely efficient way of finding someone special.

Ms Barr expressed her opinion that in ten years' time the question to new couples could be 'What site did you meet on?' as opposed to 'How did you meet?'.

If individuals want to be successful in love through the internet, then they need a snappy profile and at least two photos - one head shot and one full body pose.
