Single soldiers considering online dating should ensure they make the right impression on their profiles.
First impressions count a lot online, as well as in person, ADI News explains, suggesting they can remain for a long time.
The news source notes: "For many people the first impression is the one that will stick with them forever and usually made on an online dating site."
Once couples decide they get along well they might consider arranging a date in person and this should be properly considered before it is arranged.
Choosing a location that allows people to talk easily is a good idea, as it lets them get to know one another and discover whether they have a connection, it adds.
The Independent recently advised being as honest and natural as possible on a first date in person, as this will avoid any false impressions.
It also told single soldiers and others to ensure they assign plenty of time to listening to the other person, as well as talking.
