Extra stars added to Help for Heroes gig

A number of new performers have been confirmed to appear at a charity gig to raise cash for wounded soldiers.

Katherine Jenkins, The Wanted, Alesha Dixon and Enrique Iglesias have all signed up for the spectacle, which will see proceeds sent to the Help for Heroes campaign.

The event is to take place at Twickenham Stadium on September 12th and is being headlined by Robbie Williams.

Jenkins said British troops are always close to her heart and noted she had been out to visit them while overseas on numerous occasions.

"It's fantastic that so many artists are coming together to raise awareness and show support of all that they do," the star explained.

The get-together will be hosted by new One Show presenter Jason Manford.

Rockers Status Quo recently revealed they are to release an updated version of their 1986 hit In the Army Now in an attempt to generate funds for Help for Heroes and the British Forces Foundation.
