Amateur ghost hunters think they could have made contact with the ghost of Richard III at a house with links to the former monarch.

The 12 members of Haunted Heritage held a seance at the Donington le Heath Manor House in Coalville, Leicestershire last year.

They were in the room where the former king is said to have spent his last night before the Battle of Bosworth in 1485. When they asked if anyone was there and called for spirits to "come forward", a man's voice replied, "Richard".

The group used a 'ghost box' – a modified radio they claim allows spirits to speak through white noise – to record their findings.

Medium Gill Hibbert, 56, said: "We are being careful about saying it's Richard III because we can't prove it. We're trying to get a historian to look into other Richards who have lived there."

She said the historians haven't found anything yet, though.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801713631-ADNFCR
