Later this month an event will get underway that aims to raise money to help injured soldiers and recognise their bravery.

Comedy for Heroes is being held at the Leicester Square Theatre in London on March 28th and proceeds will go towards Help for Heroes and The Royal British Legion.

The likes of Norman Lovett, Milton Jones and Tommy Holgate will take to the stage to entertain the audience.

Comedian Patrick Monahan is hosting the event, which starts at 19:30 BST and costs £15 per ticket.

The Evening Standard has previously praised the award-winning comic, stating: "This gifted livewire commands the stage with a mix of wit and force of personality."

Other fundraisers lined up to assist armed forces charities include a live special edition of Who Wants to be A Millionaire?

The Sun recently revealed two soldiers will be seated opposite Chris Tarrant aiming to win cash for the Poppy Appeal in November.
