Combat Stress was one of three charities to benefit from a recent classic car run in the Hampshire town of Havant.

The annual Mayor of Havant's Charity Classic Vehicle Run is described by the News as the best yet, with around 200 motors completing either the 30-mile or 48-mile routes.

In accordance with tradition, the mayor chose the charities that would be supported in this year's venture, with Combat Stress, the Portsmouth and District branch of Relate and the Stroke Association getting the nod.

Terry Piper from Waterlooville was one of those to attend, taking his 1954 Dennis Pax truck, which is named after his wife Sandra, to show off at the event.

"It's all for a good cause, that's the main objective. My dear wife would've loved it. She passed away and she would've loved to be here as she helped me to build it from scratch," he stated.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801713116-ADNFCR
