Bars and pubs 'the best place to meet someone special'

The more time soldiers spend in bars, clubs and pubs, the better their chances of meeting an irresistible someone, a study has found.

According to a survey by Butterkist, 40 per cent of guys and girls think that a watering hole is the top place to find a special partner, followed by house parties, which 32 per cent believe are the way forward.

The workplace came next with 29 per cent of the vote.

According to the study, three in ten troops have left their boyfriend or girlfriend because they just couldn't say no to someone else.

For a third of people, their feelings about someone special reignite each time they see them, while a fifth say it wears off after a couple of days.

Research by forcespenpals.co.uk recently revealed that 80 per cent of single guys and girls look to the internet to find love, while 29 per cent opted for blind dates and 11 per cent have used speed dating.
